Endovascular Aneurysm Repair (EVAR) is a procedure that repairs aneurysms located in the section of the aorta that descends through the chest. EVAR is done through small incisions in the groin. Using X-ray guidance and specially designed instruments, your surgeon will insert a tube, called a stent-graft, inside your aorta. The stent-graft eliminates pressure on the weakened area of the aorta and prevents it from bursting or rupturing.
